SURJAN SUPER SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 12, 2025
Title: “Color Is Structure, Ductwork Is Desire, the Rooftop Is the Revolution.”
DEAR SUPER SCHOOLERS,
This week, the rooftop is not the end—it’s the beginning.
A new skyline emerges—not from steel and glass—but from spiraling ducts, inflatable classrooms, pink corridors, and reflective infrastructures of joy.
We are proud to present a sprawling visual study of rooftop utopias, sky-based archives, and architectural fantasies that fold HVAC systems into storytelling machines.
🌈 THIS WEEK’S COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS
THE ROOFTOP AS CIVIC INFRASTRUCTURE
Our first series explodes with yellow and pink ductwork looping atop New York buildings. These aren’t mechanical leftovers—they are intentional systems of movement, air, memory, and play. What if the museum lived on the roof? What if education wrapped the HVAC?
SECTIONAL PIPELINE ARCHITECTURE
Aerial slices reveal translucent living spaces encased in bold tubular loops. Pink curves embrace yellow rails. Silver ducts pierce through modular classrooms.
This is architecture as intimacy—tubes become timelines, sections become stories.
HALF-DRAWING / HALF-REALITY DIAGRAMS
A new format takes shape: the line drawing meets the rendered world. Color-coded pipelines begin as wireframes and end as glossy arteries of color. This is not just about clarity. It’s about belief. That the future begins in a sketch and ends in a superstructure.
SOFT SYSTEMS / HARD EDGES
Neon-piped ceilings of underground labs and server rooms get remixed in dreamy color palettes: baby blue, cotton-candy pink, sunflower yellow.
Utility is re-dressed as celebration.
The ceiling is now the sky.
PNEUMATIC MONUMENTALITY
Five massive support structures rise in pink and steel. From a distance, they seem impossible—floating. On closer look, they are cradles for libraries, archives, community platforms.
Gigantic and joyful. Heavy and light.
Architecture made to hover.
ELEVATED SCHOOLS / SUSPENDED LEARNING
Our final series reveals pink-and-yellow education centers balanced delicately on red scaffolds in dreamlike deserts.
These are not just schools.
They are spatial proposals for hope, visibility, and queer elevation.
✨ THEMES THIS WEEK

Infrastructure as Identity
Rooftops as the New Ground
Pink as Program
Drawing as Construction
Genderqueer Monumentality
📣 NOTES FROM THE ARCHIVE
We believe the archive is not buried—it floats. It can be worn, suspended, or piped. The Super School is not only recording history. It is inventing new platforms for it to breathe.
💬 QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"In this school, the rooftop is not a mechanical floor. It is the place where joy enters the building."
