SURJAN SUPER SCHOOL NEWSLETTER PART 3
WEEK OF OCTOBER 24, 2025
Theme: “Vertical Studios, Monumental Clouds & the Sacred Geometry of Learning”
🧱 1. THE NEW BRUTAL CLOUDS
This week’s collection begins with soaring concrete canopies, each folded like shells of inverted flowers.
Their undersides glow with lime and ochre membranes, suggesting classrooms that hover — soft, heavy, optimistic.
The Surjan Super School Vertical Studio rises from this spirit: not a single floor, but a stacked city of imagination, where each student becomes an architect of air.
🏗️ 2. THE STUDIO TOWERS — A CITY OF STUDENTS
Rows of young architects draw beneath massive, geometric towers.
The imagery feels both utopian and procedural: a pedagogical megastructure of yellow and white modules against fields of electric coral and sky blue.
Each classroom becomes an exposed volume — a social space between the mechanical and the poetic.
These towers suggest a campus without ground, a school suspended by collective invention.
☁️ 3. ARCHITECTURES OF THE SKY
In this series, buildings drift into atmospheric typologies — a cloud suspended by stilts, a forest of houses rising on white trunks, and a pneumatic nest hovering above red ground.
Architecture becomes a story of buoyancy:
Left image → The Pavilion of Updrafts, where warm air lifts the classrooms skyward.
Center image → The Cloud Archive, filled with stories and fog.
Right image → The Tree Dwellings, homes woven among canopies of breath and light.
🎺 4. INSTRUMENTS OF THE CITY
Architecture becomes sound.
These are not buildings — they are acoustic machines, urban trumpets, mechanical orchestras.
Yellow and turquoise frames hold red steel legs and looping pipes that hum like organs.
Each drawing feels like a section through music itself, where every plan resonates like a note.💬 Lesson: Every structure sings when you design for resonance, not silence.
🌀 5. SECTION AS A LANGUAGE
The final panels return to Surjan’s architectural grammar — the section as narrative, color, and rhythm.
Circular compositions unfold into arched interiors of blue water, golden chambers, and crimson vaults.
Each drawing is a diagram of devotion — merging sacred geometry with modern pedagogy.
From dome to vault to void, architecture becomes a vessel for light.

🌈 6. LESSON OF THE WEEK
“Every elevation is a horizon; every section is a confession.”
In this issue, the Surjan Super School proposes that drawing is an act of faith —to believe that architecture can be both diagram and dream, both concrete and cloud.

Quote of the Week:
“Architecture begins where construction ends — when the drawing starts to sing.”
